Outsourced HR Services / Management

Few people doubt that it is an organisation's people who are the key determinant in the organisations success or failure. Large organisations can usually afford specialised employees (HR Managers) to act as internal consultants across their businesses. These HR specialists focus on ensuring that the organisation's people are utilised effectively, developed and retained.

Small companies and SME's often do not have the luxury of specialised HR staff, or find it difficult to justify the cost. Often they look to existing staff to take on the tricky role of HR Management. This can have disastrous consequences and can result in smaller companies being put at a strategic disadvantage when compared to their competitors.

Odin can provide a complete HR solution to smaller companies. On a retained basis, Odin will act as the organisation's HR Manager.

Odin normally commences such work with an HR Audit. The aim of Odin’s HR Audit is to collect and evaluate information about the state of the company’s HR practices and policies in order to determine the overall effectiveness of procedures, legal compliance and processes in place to manage people.

Odin Consulting undertakes a detailed analysis using a process of interviews with key stakeholders and other employees as part of an agreed consultative approach. Employees representing all functions are interviewed.

Odin Consulting also undertakes a review of existing HR policies, procedures and systems.

Odin Consulting will analyse the survey results and integrate these to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of current Human Resource Management activities. From this, the business needs and requirements are translated into HR initiatives.

A process and report is then presented to the Management team and to all employees that documents feedback from the process and includes recommendations for improvement.

The HR Audit focuses on the areas such as:

  • Induction and Orientation
  • Position Descriptions
  • Recruitment practices
  • Remuneration and Benefits
  • Managing Performance
  • Employee Relations
  • Training and Development
  • Succession Planning
  • Occupational Health and Safety
